On August 8, 2026, in Hoi An Ward, Da Nang City, the Vietnam Business Lawyers Club (VBLC) held its 2026 Annual Event. During the event, VBLC and the Vietnam International Financial Centre Arbitration Centre (VIFCA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on cooperation in training, research, and dispute resolution.

Mr. Luu Xuan Vinh, representing Asia Legal Law Firm, attended VBLC’s 2026 Annual Event alongside lawyers and legal experts.
Cooperation in Legal Training and Research
VBLC and VIFCA will collaborate in organizing conferences, seminars, roundtable discussions, forums, and specialized training programs. The topics will focus on international trade, arbitration, alternative dispute resolution (ADR), international financial law, and legal issues related to the International Financial Centre.
The programs will be designed for lawyers, arbitrators, mediators, legal professionals, businesses, and financial institutions. The two parties will also share experts, lecturers, training materials, and practical experience.

VBLC and VIFCA will implement professional development programs in accordance with the Vietnam Bar Federation’s regulations. Depending on the program, participants may receive certificates of completion or professional certificates.
The two parties will also strengthen legal research, academic exchanges, and provide input on the development and improvement of policies and laws related to the International Financial Centre.
VBLC and VIFCA to Develop the VIFCA Users’ Membership Committee
VBLC and VIFCA will establish the VIFCA Users’ Membership Committee. The Committee will serve as a platform connecting the community of users of arbitration and alternative dispute resolution (ADR) services. Its members will include lawyers, arbitrators, mediators, businesses, banks, investment funds, and financial institutions.

The two parties will also develop online platforms, databases, electronic libraries, digital learning materials, and specialized newsletters. AI and LegalTech are expected to be applied in training and dispute resolution.
Expanding Connections in Dispute Resolution
VBLC and VIFCA will expand their connections with regulatory authorities, businesses, financial institutions, professional organizations, arbitration centers, and domestic and international partners.
Under the agreed division of responsibilities, VBLC will leverage its network of lawyers and legal experts while supporting connections with the business community, banks, investment funds, and financial institutions. VIFCA will coordinate the implementation of programs on commercial arbitration, ADR, and international finance. It will also support the establishment and operation of the Users’ Membership Committee and work with VBLC to develop a community of arbitration service users.

The Memorandum of Understanding is effective for five years from the date of signing and does not give rise to any financial obligations. The parties will agree on specific programs separately in writing.
